Don't Starve Together - An Adventure From Nothing
Don't Starve Together has multiple ways to play against others: local play, online and matchmaking. Many items have been tweaked or removed to keep the game balanced. Modes and PvP gameplay are customized by operator servers. Dedicated, player-hosted and LAN servers are available, with public or local chat depending on the preference of the management server. A type of server called "friends only" allows the creation of a server that only people on the creator's Steam friends list can join. Many console commands have been changed or removed for DST.
game mode
There are three game modes in total, other modes can be added through mods
Survival Mode:
The mode is more difficult for co-op purposes, dead players turning into ghosts will drain the spirit of living players at a rate of 3.3/min (up to a total of 10/min). The counter starts when all players die in Survival Mode, and if no players respawn during this time, the world resets.
Endless:
Designed to be a more relaxed mode that doesn't force players to coordinate. In Endless, when your character dies, the world never resets, and players can use the flower gate to resurrect themselves.
Wilderness:
is a mode designed to be more similar to other survival games. Players spawn at random locations on the map, there will be no ghosts, dead players revert to the chosen character, clear the map and respawn at a new random location. Heavy items, including touch stones, do not exist (though their patch sets and pig heads still spawn).
